About this sound

A VRChat meme clip of a pink trilobite avatar singing Take On Me. People use it for surreal, cursed, and unexpectedly emotional comedy edits.

This sound is a short clip from VRChat featuring a pink trilobite avatar singing “Take On Me” in a wobbly, oddly sincere voice. The contrast between the prehistoric-looking character and the familiar pop song makes it instantly funny, but there is also a weirdly charming quality to it. It lands well in edits that aim for awkward, absurd, or unexpectedly wholesome energy. Viewers usually react because the performance feels both cursed and heartfelt at the same time, which is exactly why the clip sticks in your head.

This meme sound centers on a VRChat performance of the A-ha song “Take On Me” by a pink trilobite avatar. It spread online because the visual mismatch is so memorable: an ancient-looking pink creature earnestly singing a recognisable 1980s hit. Clips like this travel well on short-form video platforms, reaction edits, and compilations of strange VRChat moments. It still gets reused because it fits several tones at once, including cringe comedy, surreal humor, and genuine affection for chaotic social game encounters.
