About this sound

The Scout's “Think fast, chucklenuts” voice line from Team Fortress 2, used in flashbang edits and memes to punctuate a sudden throw or surprise hit.

This short clip features the Scout sharply yelling, “Think fast, chucklenuts,” with the fast, cocky delivery associated with the character in Team Fortress 2. Its abrupt timing makes the line sound like a warning delivered just as something has already been thrown. Online edits often treat the imaginary projectile as a flashbang, cutting immediately to a bright screen, explosion, or stunned reaction. The insult adds a playful edge, while the compact runtime lets the audio land quickly without interrupting the pace of a video.

The line is associated with the Scout from Valve’s class-based shooter Team Fortress 2, which was released in 2007. The character’s rapid speech and taunting personality helped many of his voice clips become recognizable beyond the game. “Think fast, chucklenuts” later spread through gaming videos and meme edits, especially scenes where the Scout appears to throw a flashbang or another object at the viewer. It remains useful because the warning, insult, and implied impact all fit into a very brief clip.
