About this sound

The classic "my roflcopter goes soi soi soi" text-to-speech meme clip, used in retro internet edits, absurd shitposts and old-school gaming jokes.

This sound is the familiar text-to-speech line about a roflcopter going "soi soi soi," delivered in a flat robotic voice that makes the joke even funnier. The clip has a deliberately outdated internet feel, with repetitive nonsense phrasing and early meme energy. It lands best as a sudden cutaway gag, especially when a video needs a burst of chaotic, random humor. For many viewers, it instantly evokes old forums, Flash-era comedy and the kind of intentionally silly jokes that never fully disappeared from meme culture.

Roflcopter is an early internet meme built around the joke phrase "my roflcopter goes soi soi soi," often paired with Microsoft Sam style text-to-speech. It circulated widely in forum culture, meme compilations and Flash-era humor during the 2000s, then kept resurfacing in nostalgia posts and absurd edits. The joke lasts because its repetitive wording, robotic voice and intentionally dumb image of a "ROFL copter" fit the kind of chaotic humor that still thrives online. It is often grouped with older meme audio like Trololo.
