About this sound

Hanzo's Japanese ultimate voice line from Overwatch, used in clips, memes and gaming edits when a big attack, clutch play or dramatic fail is about to happen.

This clip is Hanzo shouting the Japanese line "Ryuu ga waga teki wo kurau," the callout for his Dragonstrike ultimate in Overwatch. It is short, forceful and instantly recognizable to players, with a sharp, dramatic delivery that signals something huge is about to happen. Even out of context, the line carries tension and hype, which is why creators use it before a massive move, an overpowered moment or a joke setup where the result is way more intense than expected.

This line comes from Hanzo in Blizzard's hero shooter Overwatch, released in 2016. It is the Japanese voice line for his Dragonstrike ultimate and became widely recognized through gameplay clips, highlights and streamer reactions. Because the phrase lands right before a powerful attack, it spread beyond the game into meme edits and crossover videos as a shorthand for sudden danger, intense hype or exaggerated seriousness. It remains popular with players and anime fans because the delivery is so distinctive, even in very short clips.
