About this sound

The creepy Balloon Boy hello voice clip from Five Nights at Freddy's, used in memes, edits and jumpscare setups when something sneaky appears.

This sound is Balloon Boy's short, high-pitched hello from Five Nights at Freddy's. The clip is brief and instantly recognizable, with a childlike voice that sounds playful at first but quickly turns unsettling because players associate it with danger. In videos, it works as a sneaky cue, a bait-and-switch punchline, or a creepy interruption that changes the mood in a second. Even on its own, the sound gives off that classic FNAF mix of goofy and threatening, which is why it keeps showing up in game memes and horror edits.

This clip comes from Balloon Boy, a character from Five Nights at Freddy's 2, the 2014 survival horror game by Scott Cawthon. His cheerful voice line became memorable because it contrasts with the stressful gameplay and his role as an irritating threat. Over time, fans clipped the hello and reused it in FNAF compilations, reaction edits, and short meme videos. It still gets used because one word is enough to signal Balloon Boy instantly to players who know the series.
