About this sound

General Grievous saying "A fine addition to my collection" from Star Wars: Episode III, used in memes when someone proudly adds another item.

This clip is the memorable General Grievous line, "A fine addition to my collection," delivered in his dry, villainous voice from Star Wars. It is a short spoken quote with a smug, possessive tone that instantly suggests showing off a new prize, item, or trophy. In edits and memes, the sound adds a playful sense of triumph and obsession, especially when someone acquires yet another thing they probably did not need. The line works because viewers immediately understand the joke: the collection always gets bigger, and the bragging is half serious, half ironic.

The quote comes from General Grievous in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, released in 2005. It became a widely shared reaction sound online because the line neatly fits any moment where someone acquires one more item for a growing collection. The meme spread through YouTube clips, image macros, and short-form edits, especially in gaming, collectibles, and fandom communities. It remains popular because even people who only vaguely know Star Wars still recognize the joke of proudly adding another possession.
