About this sound

The famous Risitas laughing clip from Spanish TV, used in memes and reaction edits for absurd stories, chaotic fails and jokes that keep escalating.

This sound is the well known Risitas laugh, a long burst of contagious, wheezing laughter that quickly turns any clip into a bigger joke. The voice rises and tumbles with breathless cackling, making even a simple moment feel ridiculous and out of control. People use it as a reaction sound when someone tells an unbelievable story, when a prank lands perfectly, or when a video fail becomes funnier because the laughter seems to mock the whole situation.

Risitas refers to Spanish comedian Juan Joya Borja, whose laughter during a television interview became a widely shared internet meme. The clip spread through edited reposts, subtitled versions, and reaction videos across forums, YouTube, and social media in the 2010s. It remains popular because the laugh is instantly recognizable and communicates disbelief, ridicule, and infectious amusement without needing much context. Online, it is often used alongside other exaggerated reaction sounds such as Nelson's HA-HA! or the laughing dog meme.
