About this sound

A laughing reaction clip tied to the KEKW meme and Twitch chat culture, used in streams, edits and memes when something is hilariously awkward.

This sound is a short burst of contagious laughter associated with the KEKW reaction meme. It has that loose, unstoppable laughing energy people use when a fail, weird moment or perfectly timed joke goes from funny to absurd. The clip works well because it instantly signals that something is not just mildly amusing, but full-on chat-spam funny. In edits, it often lands after a whiff, awkward line or chaotic reveal, giving the moment a mocking but playful punch that viewers immediately recognize from meme culture.

KEKW is a widely used Twitch reaction emote based on Spanish comedian Juan Joya Borja, often known online as El Risitas. The emote became popular on Twitch around 2019 as a fast way to signal uncontrollable laughter in chat. That popularity helped turn the associated laugh into a reusable meme sound for stream highlights, compilations and short edits. It is still common because viewers instantly connect it with live chat humor and with classic laugh reaction beats like Nelson's HA-HA.
