About this sound

A short Chaves quote in Brazilian Portuguese, used as a sudden absurd reveal sound in memes, edits and reaction clips when something strange appears.

This clip is the line “Já chegou o disco-voador!” delivered in an excited, comedic tone. It is a very short spoken sample in Brazilian Portuguese, with a punchy setup that immediately makes a scene feel more absurd. People use it when an unexpected object, person or interruption appears on screen, especially if the moment feels random or low-budget in a funny way. The sound works because it turns a simple entrance into a dramatic joke, giving even ordinary footage a playful, classic TV-comedy energy.

This sound is commonly associated with Chaves, the Brazilian Portuguese version of the classic TV comedy El Chavo del Ocho, where short quoted lines became widely recycled online. In meme culture, “Já chegou o disco voador” spread through reposted clips, WhatsApp forwards and short reaction edits in Portuguese-speaking communities. It remains popular because the phrase is instantly recognizable, brief, and easy to sync with sudden entrances, strange visual reveals, or deliberately silly UFO jokes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does “Já chegou o disco voador” mean?

It translates roughly to “The flying saucer has already arrived” or “The UFO is here already.” In memes, the humor comes from using that dramatic line for something ordinary, random or clearly not a real UFO.

Is this sound from Chaves?

It is commonly identified online as a Chaves quote in Brazilian Portuguese, and many users search for it that way. That association is a big reason the clip is recognized so quickly in Portuguese-language meme edits.

When do people use this sound in edits?

Creators usually drop it at the exact moment something weird enters the frame, like a strange prop, awkward costume, edited spaceship or chaotic friend appearance. The line works best as a fast reveal cue rather than as background audio.
