About this sound

A short Fat Bastard quote from Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, used as a rude punchline in memes, reaction edits and awkward comedy clips.

This sound is the quick line "Sorry, I farted" delivered in Fat Bastard's blunt, shameless style. It lands as gross-out comedy first, then turns into an awkward beat that makes the moment even funnier. The clip works because the apology is casual instead of embarrassed, which gives it a smug, absurd edge. Viewers usually read it as a perfect reaction for crude jokes, badly timed silence, or any edit where a scene suddenly needs a childish, unexpected punchline.

This quote comes from Fat Bastard, the Scottish comic villain played by Mike Myers in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me from 1999. Online, the line spread as a short reaction clip because it is instantly recognizable, easy to place after a pause, and funny even out of context. It still shows up in meme edits, soundboards, and crude comedy posts where creators want a fast interruption that breaks tension with lowbrow humor.
