About this sound

A creepy version of the classic Daisy Bell song, used in horror edits, unsettling memes and eerie videos when creators want an old-time tune to feel disturbing.

This clip is a creepy take on Daisy Bell, the old song best known for the line "Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer, do." Instead of sounding cheerful and vintage, this version feels slow, eerie and uncanny, turning a familiar melody into something unsettling. The contrast is what makes it work so well in memes and edits: viewers recognize the tune, then immediately feel that something is off. It is often used to add a haunted, liminal or analog-horror mood without needing a loud jump scare.

Daisy Bell began as a late 19th-century song, and it later became widely recognizable to modern audiences through HAL 9000 singing it in 2001: A Space Odyssey in 1968. Creepy versions spread online because the melody is so familiar that slowing it down or changing the tone makes it feel uncanny. It still shows up in horror edits, retro internet memes and unsettling video essays for that contrast between innocence and dread, much like Hello darkness my old friend is used to flip a scene's mood.
