this is mommy shark

About this sound

A short Mommy Shark meme clip from the familiar Baby Shark song, used for family jokes, character reveals, playful reactions, and funny video edits.

This clip centers on the Mommy Shark line and the instantly recognizable family character from Baby Shark. Its playful delivery gives an edit a bright, childlike burst of energy, while the familiar wording can also create an intentionally silly contrast with serious footage. The sound works as a quick introduction, reveal, or punchline, especially when a mother figure, shark image, or exaggerated family role appears on screen. Because the clip lasts several seconds, it can support a short setup before the key phrase lands rather than functioning as a single abrupt hit.

Mommy Shark is one of the family members named in Baby Shark, a children’s song with roots as a camp and action song. A widely known South Korean version released in 2016 helped turn the song into a global viral phenomenon. Mommy Shark clips later moved beyond children’s videos, appearing in memes, family-themed posts, costume reveals, and ironic edits. The character remains recognizable because each family member has a distinct verse and an accompanying hand motion that imitates a shark’s mouth.
