About this sound

The viral Coffin Dance song clip from the dancing pallbearers meme, using Astronomia by Vicetone and Tony Igy. Used for sudden fail and dark punchline edits.

This clip is the instantly recognizable Coffin Dance meme song, a short section of "Astronomia" by Vicetone and Tony Igy. It opens with the bright, pulsing electronic melody that signals a joke is about to take a very dark turn. In videos, the sound works like a comedic warning that someone has just failed badly, made a reckless choice, or is headed for an over-the-top consequence. Even a brief snippet creates an immediate expectation of the dancing pallbearers and turns a simple mishap into a dramatic meme payoff.

The Coffin Dance meme is built around "Astronomia," originally by Russian artist Tony Igy and later popularized worldwide through the 2014 Vicetone & Tony Igy version. In 2020, the track became inseparable from videos of Ghanaian dancing pallbearers, spreading across TikTok, YouTube, and meme compilations. It stuck because the upbeat EDM hook contrasts perfectly with sudden failure, wipeouts, and ominous joke edits. The format remains popular whenever creators want a fast, universally recognized setup for mock doom.
