About this sound

A short Vector vocal meme from Despicable Me, used as a weird, abrupt reaction sound in edits, punchlines and character cutaways.

This clip is a brief vocal exclamation associated with Vector, the loud and eccentric villain from Despicable Me. It has a sharp, nasal delivery that lands somewhere between a shout and a goofy reaction noise, which is why it works so well in memes. Creators use it to underline awkward pauses, sudden zoom-ins, smug character moments or intentionally silly reveals. Even though the sound is very short, it instantly gives a clip a cartoonish jolt and makes a moment feel more absurd, unserious and exaggerated.

This meme sound is tied to Vector, the orange tracksuit-wearing villain from Despicable Me, released in 2010. Short clips of his exaggerated delivery spread through meme edits, reposts and reaction compilations, where creators isolated the vocal for comedic timing. It stays popular because Vector is instantly recognizable and the sound is flexible: it can play as a reaction, a punchline accent or a quick interruption. It often appears in the same style of exaggerated meme editing as the vine boom sound.
