About this sound

The Call of Duty Zombies nuke power-up sound, used in edits and memes to signal a wipe, clutch save or sudden ending in a game clip.

This clip is the recognizable nuke power-up audio from Call of Duty Zombies. It has the sharp pickup cue and the dramatic payoff players associate with clearing the map in one instant. Even as a very short sound, it gives a clip a strong sense of finality, relief and chaos at the same time. Creators use it when everything gets erased at once, when a round turns around suddenly, or when a joke needs that unmistakable all-gone moment gamers immediately understand.

This sound comes from the Zombies mode in the Call of Duty series, where the nuke power-up eliminates the enemies on the map after a short delay. The audio became familiar to players through years of round-based gameplay and later spread into gaming edits, shorts and meme compilations. It still gets used because the cue is instantly readable to many viewers: one pickup, one blast, and the whole situation is over. That clear meaning makes it useful far beyond Call of Duty clips.
