About this sound

A recognizable website intro jingle widely used in meme edits to imply adult humor punchlines and ironic scene transitions.

The Pornhub Intro Sound is a brief, highly recognizable drum beat followed by a sharp cymbal crash. Originally serving as the opening signature for a major adult entertainment platform, this audio clip has transitioned into a legendary internet meme. When viewers hear these specific drum taps, it instantly triggers a sense of surprise, comedic tension, or ironic realization. Creators frequently employ this audio cue to signal a mature joke, mock an awkward situation, or deliver a sudden punchline. Its minimalist yet distinct rhythm makes it one of the most effective tools for quick, self-aware humor online.

Originating as the official branding intro for the adult website Pornhub, this short percussion sequence gained massive viral traction in the late 2010s. Internet creators began extracting the audio to use as a comedic punchline in video edits across YouTube, TikTok, and Reddit. It quickly became a staple of modern meme culture, often serving a similar comedic role to the dramatic vine-boom-sound or a classic censor-beep. Today, the jingle remains globally recognized as a universal shorthand for mature humor, ironic twists, and self-aware internet jokes.
