About this sound

A clip of Link screaming from The Legend of Zelda series, used in gaming edits, reaction videos, and memes about sudden danger, falls, or chaotic failure.

This clip features Link letting out an extended, distressed scream associated with his adventures in The Legend of Zelda games. The sharp character cry immediately suggests falling, taking damage, facing danger, or losing control during a chaotic moment. Its length gives editors room to build a joke rather than ending on a quick impact. Viewers familiar with the series recognize the heroic character sounding unusually helpless, while others can read it as an exaggerated panic reaction. That contrast makes the audio effective in gameplay videos, animated edits, memes, and dramatic failure scenes.

Link is the recurring hero of Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda series, which began in 1986. Although the character usually communicates through brief vocal reactions rather than spoken dialogue, his shouts, grunts, and falling cries became especially recognizable in the series' 3D games. The exact game and performance behind this particular clip are not confirmed by the available information. Link screaming audio has circulated through gameplay compilations, animations, reaction edits, and gaming memes because it quickly conveys danger, surprise, and spectacular failure without requiring dialogue.
