About this sound

Neco-Arc Chaos fires a stretched, high-pitched beam scream from Melty Blood Type Lumina. Creators use it for anime power-ups, chaotic attacks and joke edits.

This is Neco-Arc Chaos unleashing her beam attack, dragging out the word beam into a shrill, wobbling scream that rises and breaks into an excited ah. The voice is squeaky, distorted and deliberately over the top, lasting just over a second but feeling much bigger. It turns a tiny cat-like character into a sudden threat, which is why the contrast lands as comedy. Played over a charging pose or glowing eyes, it makes any small character, pet or object feel absurdly powerful for a brief moment.

Neco-Arc is the chibi cat parody of Arcueid Brunestud from Tsukihime, created by Type-Moon, and she became the mascot of the Melty Blood fighting game series. Neco-Arc Chaos is her darker, meme-heavy counterpart, known for absurd moves and nonsense vocalisations. When Melty Blood Type Lumina launched in 2021, clips of her attacks spread again through fighting game streams, edits and soundboards. Fans use this beam scream because it captures her whole appeal in one second: cute design, chaotic energy and a completely disproportionate attack.
