About this sound

The audio from the Wide Putin meme, a looping music clip used with stretched Putin edits and surreal meme videos for dramatic, goofy entrances.

This sound is the recognizable music used in the Wide Putin meme, where a stretched image or video of Vladimir Putin appears to stride across the screen. The clip has a bold, looping, almost triumphant feel that makes any reveal look strangely grand and ridiculous at the same time. Creators use it when they want a character, object, or unexpected punchline to enter with exaggerated importance. Even without the visual, the sound instantly suggests a deadpan, absurd meme setup that viewers already know.

Wide Putin became popular online around 2020 as part of the broader “wide” meme format, where images are stretched horizontally and paired with the track “Song for Denise” by Piano Fantasia. The meme spread across YouTube, TikTok, and Discord through edits of Putin appearing to march or glide across the screen. Its appeal comes from the contrast between the serious, march-like energy of the music and the deliberately silly visual distortion. That mix keeps the format recognizable years later.
