About this sound

A short clip of Bonetrousle, Papyrus's theme from Undertale. People use this upbeat game song for goofy confidence, chaotic edits and skeleton jokes.

This sound is a short excerpt of Bonetrousle, the bouncy theme associated with Papyrus in Undertale. It has a fast, playful chiptune feel with punchy percussion and a slightly frantic melody that sounds proud, silly and full of energy at the same time. In edits, it instantly gives a scene a cartoonish confidence boost, like someone is showing off before doing something ridiculous. The track works especially well when you want a gaming reference that feels light, recognizable and a little chaotic without turning fully dramatic.

Bonetrousle is a track from Toby Fox's 2015 game Undertale and is widely recognized as Papyrus's theme. The song became popular well beyond the game through animations, remixes, memes and character edits on video platforms. Its bright, jittery energy makes it easy shorthand for over-the-top confidence and lovable chaos, which is why creators still use short cuts of it years later. Even brief clips are instantly familiar to many players and fit comedy edits without needing much setup.
