About this sound

The creepy teddy bear laugh from Call of Duty Zombies, heard when the Mystery Box moves. Creators use it for unlucky moments, bait-and-switch edits, and game fail clips.

This sound is the eerie laugh tied to the teddy bear in Call of Duty Zombies, most famously when the Mystery Box disappears and relocates. It has a playful but unsettling tone, landing somewhere between a toy giggle and a warning that your luck just ran out. In edits, it instantly signals failure, bad RNG, or a sudden change of plans. Because many players recognize it right away, the clip works as a quick punchline for moments where someone almost gets what they want and then loses it.

This laugh comes from the Zombies mode in Call of Duty and is closely associated with the Mystery Box teddy bear event, where the box leaves and reappears elsewhere. Players heard it across popular Zombies maps, which helped turn the sound into a shared in-joke in the community. Outside the games, it spread through montage edits, streamer highlights, and short gaming memes. It remains popular because one short laugh immediately communicates bad luck, lost opportunity, and the familiar frustration of the box moving at the worst moment.
