About this sound

The classic troll face laugh meme sound, used in prank edits and bait-and-switch clips to underline a sneaky joke or smug internet troll moment.

This sound is a short, taunting laugh commonly paired with the Trollface meme and rage comic humor. It has a smug, mischievous tone that instantly signals someone got tricked, baited, or outplayed on purpose. In edits, it usually lands right after a reveal, failed expectation, or petty win, turning a simple moment into an obvious troll. Because the clip is so brief, it works well as a punchline without interrupting the flow of a video, and viewers immediately read it as playful mockery rather than a serious reaction.

The Trollface image became a defining symbol of trolling culture during the rage comic era in the late 2000s and early 2010s. While this exact laugh clip is best known through meme edits rather than one clear original source, it spread widely in short videos, gaming jokes, and reposted prank compilations. Its staying power comes from how fast it communicates a smug gotcha moment. Online, it often appears alongside other reaction staples like bruh or a buzzer when creators want a more exaggerated, ironic payoff.
