About this sound

The iconic JoJo's Bizarre Adventure ending cue used for cliffhangers, sudden fails and cutaway jokes when a video stops at the worst moment.

This sound is the famous JoJo's Bizarre Adventure "To Be Continued" cue, usually recognized by the sudden cut into the opening of Roundabout. It has a dramatic, slightly retro prog-rock feel that instantly signals an abrupt ending or a looming cliffhanger. In edits, it turns a simple stumble, bad decision or freeze-frame into a punchline by making the moment feel way more serious than it really is. Even a short snippet is enough for viewers to anticipate the meme and laugh before the clip fully cuts away.

This meme comes from the 2012 JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime adaptation, where episodes often ended with a "To Be Continued" arrow and the opening of Yes's song Roundabout. Fans clipped that ending sting and began pairing it with sudden stops, accidents and punchline cutaways across YouTube and social media. It stayed popular because the setup is simple and instantly readable: a freeze-frame, a hard cut, and the expectation of consequences. JoJo fans also connect it with other recurring anime meme sounds like Giorno's Theme.
