About this sound

The classic "And his name is John Cena" meme clip from WWE, used as a loud surprise reveal, prank punchline or sudden interruption in edits.

This sound is the well-known John Cena meme clip that hits with the announcer yelling his name right before the blast of Cena's WWE entrance music. It starts like a dramatic reveal, then immediately turns into an over-the-top audio jump scare with bright horns and a huge volume spike. Creators use it to interrupt a serious moment, expose an obvious answer, or turn a normal scene into a chaotic punchline. The effect is instant recognition, surprise and a deliberately ridiculous burst of energy.

This meme sound comes from WWE and centers on wrestler John Cena, using the announcer call of his name followed by his entrance theme. It became widely popular online in the mid-2010s through prank edits, bait-and-switch videos, and sudden volume-spike reveals on Vine, YouTube, and short meme compilations. The format stuck because the opening words are instantly recognizable and the musical hit lands like a joke punch. It is still used whenever creators want a dramatic, loud reveal that viewers immediately understand.
