About this sound

A short yandere laugh sound by Starcasm Nyx, mixing giggly "ihihihi" and loud laughter. Used in anime edits, creepy memes and unhinged character moments.

This clip is a stylized yandere laugh from Starcasm Nyx, starting with a fast, high-pitched "ihihihi" and breaking into a louder, more chaotic laugh. The contrast makes it sound playful at first, then suddenly unsettling, which is exactly why it lands so well in edits. It gives a scene a possessive, obsessed or slightly deranged vibe without needing any extra dialogue. Creators often use it to sell a character switch-up, a creepy reveal, or a joke where someone gets a little too attached.

This sound is commonly known as the Starcasm Nyx yandere laugh, a short voice clip labeled "Yandere Laugh" in its audio metadata. It circulates on soundboards and in anime-themed edits as a quick shorthand for obsessive, unstable, or darkly playful energy. The appeal comes from its clear two-part delivery: a rapid giggle followed by bigger laughter. That structure makes it easy to time with visual reveals, character transformations, and exaggerated reaction posts, so it keeps resurfacing in short-form meme editing.
