About this sound

The classic John Cena meme sound clip with the sudden announcer shout and theme sting, used for surprise reveals, smash cuts and absurd punchlines.

This sound is the famous meme clip where a calm moment gets interrupted by the loud line “And his name is John Cena” followed by the instantly recognisable music hit. It lands hard because the volume jumps, the delivery is over the top, and the switch feels sudden and ridiculous. Creators use it to turn ordinary reveals into dramatic jokes, especially when someone enters a scene, an image appears unexpectedly, or a video needs a chaotic punchline that viewers immediately recognise.

This meme sound is built from John Cena’s WWE entrance announcement and theme, which became a major online joke in the mid-2010s through remix videos, bait-and-switch edits, and short meme compilations. Its popularity came from the contrast between a normal scene and the sudden explosive shout. The format stayed relevant because it works across almost any subject, from gaming clips to school memes, and it is often used alongside other quick reaction sounds such as bruh or a buzzer for stacked punchlines.
