About this sound

A short, upbeat “Hi!” voice clip often used for character intros, awkward jokes, and quick meme edits. Commonly linked to LillyPichu meme clips.

This sound is a very short spoken “Hi!” delivered with a bright, slightly awkward energy that can read as friendly, ironic, or subtly unsettling depending on the visual setup. Because it is so simple, the clip works in a huge range of edits, from wholesome introductions to abrupt joke reveals. The voice lands fast, makes the viewer focus immediately, and can either break tension or create it. In meme videos, that contrast is the whole joke: a tiny, polite greeting dropped into chaos, drama, or an absurd character entrance.

This clip is often associated with the “Nasus tries voiceacting” video by LillyPichu, where a simple greeting stood out because of its earnest, slightly off delivery. Online, short greetings like this spread easily because they are flexible and instantly readable in edits. Creators kept reusing it for intros, ironic cutaways, and uncomfortable pauses, especially when they wanted a softer alternative to louder reaction sounds such as bruh. Its staying power comes from how a one-word voice line can completely change the tone of a scene.
