About this sound

A short Hazbin Hotel voice clip used as a joking comeback to sadness, burnout or bad luck in edits, memes and reaction videos.

This sound is a very short spoken line from Hazbin Hotel: “Take that, depression.” The delivery is quick, punchy and self-aware, which makes it land like a sarcastic mini victory after something miserable or frustrating happens. Because the clip is under two seconds, it works well as a sharp reaction sound without interrupting the pacing of a video. Viewers usually read it as dark humor rather than sincerity, so it fits clips where someone tries to act triumphant while obviously still dealing with chaos, stress or emotional damage.

This sound comes from Hazbin Hotel, the adult animated musical comedy series created by Vivienne Medrano. Online, the line spread as a short reaction clip because it turns heavy feelings into a fast, quotable joke. Creators use it in meme edits, fan compilations and relatable posts about stress, therapy, bad days and small personal victories. Its staying power comes from the contrast between the serious subject and the upbeat, punchline-style delivery, which makes it easy to drop into both fandom content and broader reaction videos.
