About this sound

A dramatic T. rex roar sound effect credited to SoundBible.com, used in videos, memes, games, and edits to signal prehistoric danger or a creature reveal.

This is a brief, forceful roar presented as the voice of a Tyrannosaurus rex. The sound rises quickly into a deep, abrasive bellow, giving it a threatening and unmistakably prehistoric character. Its compact length makes the clip easy to place beneath a creature reveal, a jump scare, or a comedic reaction. Because the roar is highly recognizable as a dinosaur sound, it can instantly suggest danger, pursuit, or exaggerated movie-style chaos without needing dialogue. The recording is credited to SoundBible.com in the clip metadata.

The clip is credited to SoundBible.com in its ID3 metadata and labeled “trex,” with a runtime of just over two seconds. Its concise format suits short-form editing, where a fast burst of roaring can punctuate a reveal or turn an ordinary moment into exaggerated prehistoric chaos. It is commonly treated as a general-purpose dinosaur vocal effect rather than dialogue from a named film or character. That flexibility helps it fit meme edits, gaming videos, reaction clips, and other visual posts built around surprise or mock danger.
