About this sound

A short laugh from the Scout in Team Fortress 2, used in memes, gaming edits and clips where someone is smug, taunting or clearly winning.

This sound is the Scout's quick, cocky laugh from Team Fortress 2. It has a sharp, youthful tone that instantly reads as smug, playful and a little annoying in the exact way fans expect from the character. Because the clip is short and expressive, creators use it to underline moments where someone shows off, gets the last word or embarrasses an opponent. Even outside TF2 content, the laugh works as a punchline that turns a normal reaction into a taunt, making the scene feel more sarcastic and self-satisfied.

This clip comes from Scout, one of the main playable classes in Valve's Team Fortress 2, released in 2007. His voice lines and laughs became widely reused in gaming memes because his fast-talking, cocky personality is easy to recognize. Over time, players started using the Scout laugh in edits, frag videos and joke compilations whenever a moment feels taunting or self-satisfied. It remains popular because even a very short laugh instantly signals TF2 to fans and communicates a clear reaction without needing any extra setup.
