About this sound

CJ's "Ah shit, here we go again" quote from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, used in memes and edits for annoying repeats and bad situations.

This clip is the short spoken line where Carl "CJ" Johnson says, "Ah shit, here we go again" in a tired, resigned tone. It is brief, clear, and instantly recognizable to GTA fans, which makes it perfect for meme timing. The delivery sounds like someone realizing they are about to deal with the same problem all over again, so it lands well on fail compilations, repeated mistakes, frustrating game moments, and any joke where the viewer already knows the chaos is coming.

The line comes from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, released by Rockstar Games in 2004, during an early scene with Carl Johnson, better known as CJ. Over time, the quote escaped the game and became a major reaction meme online because it sums up dread, repetition, and unwanted familiarity in one short sentence. It remains popular in gaming clips, social posts, and video edits because the setup is universal and the voice delivery is easy to recognize even in very short formats.
