About this sound

The quick 'Bonk' voice clip from Scout in Team Fortress 2, used in memes, gaming edits, and punchline cuts when someone gets hit or shut down.

This clip is the Scout's sharp, fast 'Bonk' voice line from Team Fortress 2. It lands almost like a verbal sound effect: short, nasal, cocky, and instantly recognizable to players who know the character. Because it is under a second long, it works perfectly as a comedic impact cue right at the moment of a fail, hit, interruption, or sudden realization. The sound gives a scene a cartoony, game-like snap and adds a smug, playful tone instead of a heavy dramatic hit.

This sound comes from Scout, the fast-talking character in Valve's Team Fortress 2, released in 2007. Short Scout voice lines like this spread widely through gameplay videos, frag compilations, and meme edits because they are punchy and easy to recognize. The word 'bonk' also fits visual comedy on its own, so the clip stayed popular beyond the game community. It is still used as a quick impact joke in gaming posts, reaction edits, and cartoonish fail moments.
