About this sound

A sharp French outburst from OSS 117, “Mais il va la fermer sa gueule,” used in memes and reaction edits when someone refuses to stop talking.

This OSS 117 voice clip captures an irritated French outburst: “Mais il va la fermer sa gueule,” roughly meaning “Will he shut his mouth?” The line is delivered with escalating impatience, giving the short recording an abrupt and confrontational comic edge. Its forceful tone makes it effective as a reaction to rambling commentary, repeated interruptions, loud behavior, or an especially annoying speaker. Because the frustration is immediately clear even to viewers who do not speak French, the audio works well as a punchline in captioned memes and fast-paced video edits.

The clip comes from the French OSS 117 spy-comedy films, which parody classic espionage stories through an arrogant and socially oblivious central agent. Short extracts from the movies became widely shared as French reaction memes because their exaggerated dialogue remains understandable through tone and context. This angry line is especially useful when a speaker has overstayed their welcome. It continues to circulate in compilations, social posts, and video replies as a concise expression of comic exasperation.
