About this sound

Tony Stark delivers his climactic “I am Iron Man” line in Avengers: Endgame, a dramatic movie quote used for decisive wins, reveals, and final moments.

This clip captures Tony Stark’s defiant response to Thanos during the climax of Avengers: Endgame. After Thanos declares himself inevitable, Tony reveals that he has taken the Infinity Stones and says, “And I am Iron Man,” before snapping his fingers. The measured delivery, brief pause, and enormous consequences give the line a powerful sense of finality. It works especially well in edits where someone turns defeat into victory, makes a decisive move, reveals a winning plan, or signs off with unmistakable confidence.

The line comes from the 2019 Marvel Studios film Avengers: Endgame and is spoken by Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark during the final confrontation with Thanos. It echoes the ending of 2008’s Iron Man, when Tony publicly reveals his superhero identity with the same declaration. The Endgame version spread through reaction videos, fan edits, parodies, and short-form posts because it instantly communicates sacrifice, confidence, and a last-second reversal. It remains closely associated with Tony Stark’s defining cinematic moment.
