About this sound

A Brazilian meme audio of someone saying "não gostei, asmei," a playful twist on "não gostei, amei," used for ironic approval and funny reaction edits.

This clip features the Brazilian Portuguese line "não gostei, asmei," delivered in a way that sounds intentionally wrong and extra expressive. It plays like a dramatic reaction: first sounding negative with "I didn't like it," then instantly flipping into exaggerated love for whatever just happened. That contrast is what makes it funny. Creators use it when a video, outfit, joke or chaotic moment looks questionable at first but ends up being oddly perfect. The sound gives edits a sarcastic, approving punch and works especially well in short reaction posts.

"Não gostei, asmei" is a Portuguese reaction meme popular in Brazilian social posts, short videos and WhatsApp shares. The humor comes from the deliberate misuse of "asmei" in place of "amei," which makes the line sound more dramatic and playful. It spread as a caption and audio format for ironic approval, especially in glow-up reveals, guilty-pleasure jokes and reaction compilations. The phrase remains popular because it is short, easy to recognize and instantly communicates a funny reversal from rejection to enthusiastic praise.
