About this sound

A short Halo announcer clip saying "Killjoy," used in edits, memes and gaming videos when someone ends a streak or ruins another player's moment.

This sound is the Halo announcer calling out "Killjoy" in a sharp, punchy voice. The clip is very short, with that clean arena-shooter delivery that instantly feels competitive and final. It lands like a tiny reward stinger, making a moment feel satisfying when a streak gets stopped or somebody's momentum is cut off. Because the word is clear and the tone is dramatic without being too long, creators use it to underline interruptions, shut-downs and petty wins in gameplay clips, reaction edits and joke videos.

"Killjoy" is a recognizable multiplayer medal callout from Halo, delivered by the series announcer when a player's streak is ended. Short announcer clips like this spread widely beyond the games because they are easy to drop into montages and meme edits. The sound stays popular because the meaning is immediate even for casual viewers: somebody was rolling, and then somebody else stopped it cold. That makes it useful for gaming compilations, reaction memes and any edit built around a clean interruption.
