About this sound

A clipped “Filmed in 3D” line played by Jacket through his tape recorder in Payday 2, used for gaming edits, strange replies, and character memes.

This clip features Jacket’s tape-recorded “Filmed in 3D” line from Payday 2. Rather than speaking normally, the masked character communicates with short phrases played from a portable recorder, giving each response a detached, mechanical quality. The brief delivery sounds oddly specific and out of context, which makes it effective as an absurd reaction or abrupt punchline. Its compressed recorded texture also makes the line instantly recognizable to players familiar with Jacket and complements edits built around his silent, unsettling presence.

The line comes from Jacket’s dialogue system in Payday 2, where the Hotline Miami protagonist appears as a playable crossover character. Jacket communicates through prerecorded words and phrases instead of conventional spoken dialogue, matching his established silent persona. “Filmed in 3D” is one of those deliberately disconnected recordings. The unusual wording and cassette-like delivery helped individual lines circulate among players as reaction clips, particularly in Payday edits, character compilations, and jokes that emphasize sudden cinematic presentation.
