About this sound

A short Ghostface voice clip from Mortal Kombat 1 referencing Father Death, used in gaming edits, horror memes, character reveals, and ominous reactions.

This brief Mortal Kombat 1 voice clip features Ghostface invoking the name Father Death, an identity associated with the familiar black-robed costume. The delivery is controlled and menacing, giving the line the feel of a threat or grim introduction rather than a loud jump scare. Its compact length makes it effective in horror edits, fighter reveals, and reaction videos where a scene suddenly turns sinister. For viewers who recognize Ghostface, the reference adds another layer of slasher-film menace to the game footage.

Ghostface originated as the masked killer identity in the Scream film series, which began in 1996. The costume seen on screen was based on a commercially available design known as Father Death. Ghostface later joined Mortal Kombat 1 as a downloadable guest fighter in 2024, bringing slasher imagery and character-specific dialogue into the fighting game. Clips from the fighter’s exchanges spread through gameplay videos, horror edits, and short memes because the recognizable mask and restrained threats work well as dramatic setup.
