About this sound

Knuckles says "Don't you lecture me with your 30 dollar haircut" in Sonic Boom, a sharp reaction quote used for clapbacks, roasts and petty arguments.

This clip is the famous Knuckles line, "Don't you lecture me with your 30 dollar haircut," delivered with sudden, offended attitude. It is a short spoken reaction that lands like a perfect comeback, mixing annoyance, sarcasm and absurd specificity in one breath. The humor comes from how seriously the insult is thrown and how oddly precise the haircut price sounds. Viewers instantly read it as a petty but memorable roast, which makes the sound ideal for edits where someone acts smug, condescending or way too confident.

This quote comes from the animated series Sonic Boom, where Knuckles delivers the line during a comedic exchange. The absurd phrasing helped it spread far beyond the show in reaction compilations, meme edits and captioned argument videos. It remains popular because the insult is weirdly specific, instantly recognizable and easy to drop into situations where someone is being self-righteous. Online, people often reference it in text form as much as they use the actual audio.
