About this sound

A cringey, glitchy version of the John Cena meme clip, used in edits, awkward punchlines and sudden reveal jokes online.

This sound takes the familiar John Cena meme sting and pushes it into a deliberately awkward, over-the-top version with glitchy distortion and a cringey feel. Instead of landing like a clean surprise gag, it sounds messy, loud and intentionally uncomfortable, which makes the joke feel even more absurd. Creators use it when a reveal is supposed to be funny for the wrong reasons, or when a video needs a burst of chaotic secondhand embarrassment. It works best as a hard interruption that makes the moment feel hilariously off.

This sound is based on the long-running John Cena meme clip that became widely recognizable across YouTube, Vine-era edits and later short-form meme videos. In this version, the familiar reveal is presented with extra glitching and an intentionally awkward tone, which gives it a more ironic use than the standard clip. It stayed popular because creators kept remixing the sound for layered cringe humor, especially in edits where a normal joke was made to feel deliberately broken or uncomfortable.
