About this sound

The iconic Tiger Uppercut voice clip and hit sound from Street Fighter II, used in gaming edits, retro memes, and knockout moments.

This sound is Sagat's Tiger Uppercut from Street Fighter II, a fast, sharp fighting game clip with his shouted attack call and the impact-heavy feel of a rising anti-air move. Even in a short burst, it carries that classic arcade energy people instantly recognize from old-school versus games. Creators use it when something suddenly counters, launches, or shuts down another person or object. It adds a dramatic, competitive punch to clips and gives ordinary moments the exaggerated feel of a perfect fighting game reversal.

Tiger Uppercut is one of Sagat's signature special moves from Capcom's Street Fighter series, most famously associated with Street Fighter II in the early 1990s. The move became memorable through arcade play, home console ports, and the wider fighting game community. Online, the sound still shows up in retro gaming edits, matchup jokes, and videos where a sudden counterattack needs an instantly recognizable arcade cue. Its staying power comes from how short, forceful, and tied to a famous move it is.
