About this sound

A quick cough followed by a fart sound effect, used in meme edits, prank videos, and awkward reaction clips to create an abrupt comic punchline.

This 1.248-second sound combines two familiar bodily noises in a compact comedy beat: a cough and a fart. The cough begins as an ordinary, harmless interruption, then the second noise turns the moment into a crude punchline. Because the setup and payoff happen almost instantly, the clip can make an awkward pause, failed attempt, or suspicious off-camera moment feel deliberately ridiculous. Its dry, abrupt sequence works especially well when a video briefly draws attention to someone trying to act composed before the embarrassing sound breaks that illusion.

The original recording and creator of this 1.248-second clip are not documented in the available metadata. Online, the pairing belongs to a broad tradition of bodily-noise comedy: a cough creates a brief distraction before the flatulent punchline lands. It circulates as a reaction insert, prank cue, and compact audio gag alongside the fart meme sound used in short-form edits. Its simple setup remains useful because viewers understand the joke immediately, even without dialogue or visual context.
