About this sound

A short cheek-clapping meme sound effect used in edits, jokes and reaction clips when a scene needs an over-the-top, suggestive impact.

This clip is a brief, punchy cheek-clapping sound effect with a fast, rhythmic slapping pattern that instantly reads as a crude joke. It is usually used for comedic timing rather than realism, dropping into a video right when a movement, dance, fail or suspicious moment needs a suggestive twist. Because the audio is short and exaggerated, it lands like a meme sting instead of a full scene. Viewers recognize it immediately as a cheeky, immature joke, which is exactly why it gets laughs in reaction edits and short-form posts.

This sound is best known as an internet meme effect rather than a clearly documented quote or scene from a specific film, show or game. It spread through short edits, reaction videos and reposted clips where creators use exaggerated slapping audio for shock humor and innuendo. Its staying power comes from how instantly understandable the joke is: even a very short burst changes the tone of a clip. Because it is brief and easy to sync, it keeps showing up in meme compilations and short-form comedy posts.
