About this sound

Big Smoke's frustrated mission-failure line from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, used in memes when someone misses a goal or ignores simple instructions.

This clip captures Big Smoke angrily blaming CJ after a failed train chase in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. His sharp, exasperated delivery turns a mission failure into a memorable punchline: the instruction sounds simple, while players know the sequence can be frustrating. The brief line lands like a scolding from an annoyed teammate, making it effective over missed jumps, failed challenges, poor driving, or any avoidable mistake. Its mix of irritation and familiarity gives viewers an instant cue that someone has fumbled a task they were clearly supposed to complete.

The line comes from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, released in 2004. Big Smoke delivers it to protagonist Carl “CJ” Johnson when the mission “Wrong Side of the Tracks” ends in failure. The quote became closely associated with player frustration around that mission, then spread through gameplay videos, remixes, image macros, and reaction edits. It remains recognizable because the performance is forceful, the wording is easy to adapt, and the scene captures the universal annoyance of failing a supposedly straightforward objective.
