The Mortal Kombat announcer saying Finish Him in a deep voice, the classic cue before a Fatality that creators use for gaming edits and final blows.

This is the Mortal Kombat announcer delivering the two words Finish Him in a low, booming and deliberately menacing voice. The delivery is slow and heavy, with each syllable stretched for dramatic weight over a brief pause in the fight. It signals that one fighter is defeated and helpless, leaving the winner free to perform a finishing move. Hearing it instantly creates tension and dark humour, because the outcome is already decided and something brutal is expected next. That unmistakable tone is why the clip works even without any gameplay footage underneath it.

Finish Him comes from Mortal Kombat, the fighting game series that launched in arcades in 1992. The announcer calls it when a round ends, prompting the winner to perform a Fatality, the gory finishing move that made the series famous. The phrase quickly became one of gaming's most quoted lines, repeated in sequels, films and parodies. Online, creators lift the isolated voice clip for memes and edits far beyond fighting games, using its instant recognition to mark any one-sided defeat or final moment.

What does Finish Him mean in Mortal Kombat?

It is the announcer's instruction at the end of a round, telling the winning player that the defeated opponent is stunned and vulnerable. The player then has a few seconds to input a Fatality or another finishing move.

Where does the Finish Him sound come from?

The sound comes from the Mortal Kombat fighting games, where an off-screen announcer speaks during matches. The deep, processed voice delivers the line over gameplay, which is why the clip contains only the voice with no music or character dialogue attached.

How do creators use the Finish Him sound?

Creators place the clip at the exact moment a contest, game or argument is effectively over. The pause after the line builds anticipation for a final clip, reaction or punchline, making ordinary endings feel like a dramatic Mortal Kombat finish.
