このサウンドについて

The iconic “Finish him!” announcer line from Mortal Kombat, used in gaming edits, knockout clips, and memes to signal a decisive final blow or showdown.

This short clip features the commanding Mortal Kombat announcer declaring, “Finish him!” The deep, forceful voice appears at the decisive point of a fight, when one opponent has been defeated and a finishing move can be performed. Its dramatic delivery creates immediate tension and tells viewers that the confrontation is nearly over. Outside the games, the line adds a ruthless or playfully exaggerated edge to knockouts, arguments, sports highlights, gaming victories, and any scene where someone is about to deliver one final move.

“Finish him!” originated as an announcer prompt in the original Mortal Kombat arcade game, released in 1992. It plays near the end of a match when the winning player can perform a Fatality against a stunned opponent. The phrase continued across the fighting game series and became closely associated with its graphic finishing moves. As Mortal Kombat reached home consoles and later online video culture, creators began using the command beyond gameplay. It remains recognizable because it instantly frames the next action as a decisive, dramatic conclusion.
