A short clip of Luis Rubiales asking Jenni Hermoso for a little kiss after Spain won the 2023 Women's World Cup, often used in memes about the controversy.

This under-one-second clip captures Luis Rubiales speaking in Spanish, asking in a casual, almost playful tone, '¿Un piquito?' The voice is close and clear, with a light, teasing inflection that makes the line sound informal rather than formal or celebratory. Because listeners instantly recognise the phrase from the medal ceremony after Spain's Women's World Cup final win, hearing it out of context feels awkward, tense and darkly ironic. It works as a punchline precisely because the innocent wording clashes with the serious controversy that followed, turning a brief question into a loaded reference.

The clip comes from the aftermath of Spain's victory in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup final, when Spanish football federation president Luis Rubiales kissed forward Jenni Hermoso during the medal ceremony in Sydney. The moment sparked widespread criticism in Spain and internationally, led to Rubiales resigning, and became a major talking point about consent in sport. The short phrase, meaning a little kiss in Spanish, circulated online as a meme and shorthand for the incident, and creators still use it to reference that controversy without needing to explain it.
