The distorted Mr Incredible becoming uncanny phase 9.5 sound, with deepened music and eerie tones used in meme edits to show a character turning unsettling.

This clip captures the late, deeply unsettling stage of the Mr Incredible becoming uncanny meme, where the familiar Pixar hero has warped far beyond his cheerful original form. The audio is slowed, pitched down and layered with droning, dissonant tones that make the once-friendly theme feel cold and wrong. Instead of a jump scare, it builds a creeping dread, as if something familiar is quietly breaking apart. Creators use it for the moment a joke, character or situation stops being funny and starts feeling disturbing, letting the sound alone signal that the edit has crossed into uncanny territory.

The becoming uncanny format is built around Mr Incredible from Pixar's The Incredibles, showing the hero in a sequence of images that grow progressively more distorted and unsettling. It spread on YouTube and TikTok, where creators made their own phase compilations, each stage darker than the last, with the music slowing and warping to match. Phase 9.5 sits near the end of that progression, a fan-made step between the disturbing later phases and the final form. Its popularity endures because the format is easy to remix, instantly recognisable, and works for any character or situation sliding from normal to creepy.
