A short clip of the classic Hamster Dance tune, the fast novelty internet song made famous online and used in memes, goofy edits and nostalgic posts.

This sound is the instantly recognisable Hamster Dance melody, a bright, sped-up novelty tune that feels hyperactive and intentionally silly. The clip has a bouncy, chirpy rhythm that immediately gives a video a chaotic, playful mood. Creators use it when they want something to feel absurdly cute, old-school internet, or comically overexcited. It works especially well with dancing animals, sped-up movement, low-stakes fails, and deliberately cheesy meme edits because the sound itself already carries a strong sense of goofy nostalgia.

Hamster Dance began as one of the best-known early internet memes in 1998, when a webpage filled with animated hamsters used a sped-up sample of the song "Whistle-Stop" from Disney's 1973 film Robin Hood. The tune spread widely through personal websites, emails, and flash-era internet culture, then inspired the 2000 novelty hit "The Hamsterdance Song" by Hampton the Hamster. It still gets used because it instantly signals old-web nostalgia, cheesy humor, and frantic cute energy in short meme edits.
