The iconic "Excellent" announcer clip from Quake, used in edits, gaming memes and highlight videos to celebrate a perfect play or clutch moment.

This short clip is the famous announcer saying "Excellent" from Quake, delivered in a deep, punchy voice with sharp arcade energy. Even at under a second, it instantly reads as a reward cue, like the game is congratulating someone for a clean move, combo or back-to-back win. The sound lands fast and adds a classic arena-shooter feel, which is why people use it to make gameplay clips, jokes and reaction edits feel more triumphant and a little more old-school.

This sound is best known as one of the classic multiplayer announcer lines from Quake, especially the medal-style voice clips associated with Quake III Arena in 1999. It spread far beyond the game through frag movies, machinima, YouTube edits and short gaming memes. Creators still use it because the single word is instantly recognizable, easy to time, and communicates success without needing any setup. It fills a similar role to other iconic game cues like the ROBLOX oof in fast online edits.
